Hey guys and gals!

So I was digging around through my boxes (getting ready to move), and I found a few of my old systems along with some games I used to loooooooooove playing. So I thought we'd get the good times and fond memories roll'n with the top 3 games you miss playing.

Mine are:

Arc the Lad Trilogy: A fantasy tactics style turn based game with one of the best storylines i've ever played, decent graphics, lots of characters to choose from, and even had a bonus CD where you and a friend could duke it out... tactics style! And honestly... except for the newer ones i've played pretty much all of the Final Fantasy games, and none of them came close to the depth and 'edge of your seat' storyline that this game put me through. (Playstation)

Gundam: Journey to Jaburo: This was the game that started it all... After playing this game my interest for 'mech / mecha'... stuff lol... had begun. This game actually placed you in the cockpit of a gundam and let you pew and hack your way through the Zeon forces to victory! At the time the graphics just blew me away and if I can remember right the game had really fun beam sabre fights and just... ahh.... it was such an amazing game. (Sega Dreamcast)

StarLancer: Like the Gundam, this game started my facination for Space CRAFT (thank you Zenton....) type genres, and also at the time, I thought the graphics were amazing! It had the fast paced space action of the Freespace series, while keeping the communication ship set up similar to that of every other Space craft games, so it was very familiar. It had a pretty good storyline, along with a suprise betrayal somewhere near the end. Simply awesome game. (Sega Dreamcast)

Well there you have if folks, excited to see what everyone else's favorite missed games are. Till then...

Station Walking: Do you want it?

In my opinion, station walking - which has been repeatedly stated to be added sometime after launch - is a waste of valuable time, resources, and money. I don't see any enjoyment of being able to walk to the market to buy parts, then bringing those parts to the hangar to put them on your ship, then unloading cargo and taking it to the crafter to do some experimenting. It would be time consuming for the player, which is exactly what the developers are trying to stay away from as they have mentioned several times before.

But perhaps station walking brings additional features to the game that haven't been discussed or announced yet? Maybe we'll all get lazor pistols and rocket launchers to shoot each other with like Halo!

I'm thinking not, and expecting nothing more than simply being able to walk up to another player to get their faction information, add them to my friends list, and view their achievements. Fun.

Hopefully this poll will point the developers of Black Prophecy in the right direction - the direction the community wants: a hardcore space action game, and not a two-sided game with a half baked space sandbox on one side and station walking on the other side to cover up the game's lobby.

Has anyone seen the space combat for SW TOR? It's hideous, and they should have never added it in.

Sorry for the wall of text...

Hello all.

Im making this thread due to an idea that sprung up with me and my friends. Will it be possible to export models and textures to an animation program like blender? it would be pretty nice to use ingame graphics to animate a movie, or short clip. Even if the models were not able to be taken, perhaps the textures could be bent around a custom made wireframe. Just wanted to blast this idea out there incase it wasnt already. Thanks all! :)

What do you recomend as a good joy stick for BP or mechwarrior? (For both left hand and right hand)

I used to use a Saitek Cyborg 2000 Joystick and it was great. But that was years ago and it broke.

I am left handed, and have been since my car accident as the right side of my body doesnt work properly. Long story. Therefore I will only use a joystick made for both hands (left). So the Logitech Extreme 3D is unsuitable for my needs. The Saitek models however are easily adjustable for either hand.

I also got to try all 5 joysticks availible in my country today at Harvey Normans and theyre all crap. The 2 logitech joysticks are awkward to use and dont have Hats and the 3 Saitek joysticks are poorly made. The one I would have been interested in is the Saitek Cyborg V1, but that was made of flimsy plastic that would easily break. As I gripped the hard plastic I could hear the plastic parts grind against each other. They also had a Saitek X flightstick there, and that had a nice rubber grip and was comformatble but again it was made of small plastic pieces. Also the throttle and buttons were on the left side of the joy stick and the grip was ergonomicaly designed for a right handed grip. And they had a Saitek ST90 there but that only had 3 buttons and no throttle lever.

I've been looking at the Cyborg 3D USB (2000), or the Cyborg Evo (2005).

What Do you think?

(note; the only reason for mentioning other game titles in this post is for honeing skills usable in Black Prophecy, they are NOT! mentioned as an alternative, they are hardly that, being older SINGLEplayer games)

Hello!
So yes, how do you train for a game when you cannot play the game itself?
Going back to the FPSworld many hardcore gamers switch to the prequal of said game or similar games when a new version is soon to be released, hopeing to gather some much needed edge.

The games I've myself been playing lately in preperation are:
Freelancer | Tarr Chronicles | Dark Horizon

Theese three is from what I can tell atleast similar in setup to what BP fighting may be.

Now mastering those games would be an "ok" measure for basic flight training, Its when the human factor gets to play things start to get hairy.
For one I do remember way back in the early 90s when Amiga computers where all the rage, reading a multipage walkthrough on spaceflight in some ComputerGame magazine. It whent through various little tricks on how to get "behind" the target how to shake of an attacker etc.

Yet often enough one can get stuck in "chasing the cross-hairs" in theese games without forthought on some small tactics.
To know when to get some distance or use obstacles (asteroids) to your advantage might very will make the difference from death or success.

So:

What are your games of choice to train for BlackProphecy?

Got a favorite move you use in those games?
