I made a Self regulating platform wich stabilize itself by using angelular data.
I made this using Garrys Mod an HalfLife 2 mod and Wiremod and 12 hours of time ^^

- installing and opperating Linux based Computers, Servers and Networks
- some knowledge about Asterisk and general VOIP Telephony stuff

I'm no mod... but that sort of comment is somewhat frowned upon around here.

Plus, Photoshop isn't THAT expensive if you buy CS2. It can do most of what CS3 and 4 can do.

It probably has to do with context. I downloaded the Aion Beta using the T word because they offered that as a valid download option on their website.

I can see why they would frown on it if it suggests acquiring expensive software without paying for it. That's bad.

Torrents in themselves are not illegal and in fact we've used them ourselves in the past as one of a number of vehicles for distributing the Neocron client.
However, we will not permit discussion of downloading pirated software on this forum via torrents or any other means.
N Hopefully Black Prophecy doesn't strictly use P2P protocol for update data... most Canadian ISPs throttle P2P traffic. :(
Only my MLPPPoE'd dual DSL connection doesn't get throttled... and that's just because my ISP's 1st party is run by monkeys. 10/2Mbit 400GB... it's that or a single 7/1 60GB line for the same price.
Greedy pigs overbook their services, put on tiny caps and throttle everything instead of spending money on new infrastructure.

My skills... computer hardware, architecture... making people RAGE on the internet because they can't make me rage when trolling.

We stopped using P2P as a means of distribution a long time ago.Good to hear for the client, but P2P can be a nice thing for Reakktor and people with slow and unreliable connections*... such as my 3G stick... it poops when I try to download more then 1GB.
Having P2P by default for large updates with the option of regular download, and non-p2p for small updates would work well, some MMOs do it that way.

Although if the game client is small(compared to today's MMOs) it's pointless to implement P2P... *maybe a download manager.
