Introducing the Hull Breach clan although we strive to be more than just a clan, We aim to be both a large community of friends and not just a clan where members login for the next pvp battle. We like to play with people that want to be more then just a nickname and an avatar. Having a good time on forum, vent or in some cases even in rl is for us equally important as playing the game.

We will be playing the Genide faction come release and have plans to quickly expand and establish the Hull breach name.

Hull Breach will be using a heavy structured division system which is explained in the members section of the forum. The division system will function as follows, each commanding officer will maintain there own division and will have a few officers working under them to help keeping everything moving. This also allows me to add more commanding officers and officer if there is something in the clan which could improve from having someone take it as there charge and also means that the guild is structured in a way so that everything should always function even if a few members cannot login for a period of time.

We are looking for recruit both hardcore and casual gamers to become members within the guild, The main section of the guild will consist of regular players helping the guild get that next resource point or helping the the next pvp battle however there will also be a rank for more casual members where they will not be expected to raid much however they are given the chance to do so if they wish.

This is by no means a split guild, all the "Divisions" will be working very closely together and the casual rank is just for members without as much time to play the game than the others.

I decided on including a community section into the clan as even though its slightly more work for myself to keep everything moving along for the simple reason that it will keep both the forums and the guild alive and may also provide a steady flow of members into the main section of the clan. I strongly believe that a successful clan needs both an active forums and a strong sense of community behind it.

Here is a quick run-down on how it will function.

Recruitment Division
Main objectives

Between them the division would have the task of -

bringing new quality recruits into the clan.
maintaining the whole recruitment process from and getting to know the new recruits.
Making the new recruits feel welcomed and get them established into the clan while showing them how the clan works and runs.
Monitoring the new recruits during the trial process and making sure they meet the minimum requirements if not then the commanding officer will need to make a decision.
They would also have the job of promoting the clan for recruitment purposes on various websites such as the dp forums or various fan sites.
Making sure there is a good balance with the ouflow and inlow of members within the clan you need to make sure that new recruits are long term rather then short term loyalty and maturity is what we are looking for.

Secondary Objectives

Help boost ventrilo/TS/mumbles activity when we get it.
I will require every two weeks a meeting with the division.

Events Team
Main objectives

Another division in the clan would be the Events Team, they would have the task of -

Establishing daily events on set time periods such as pvp raids on stations on non raid days.
Establishing weekly training events.
Running competitions and events within the clan.
Decide on what days and times the clan will be raiding and pvping each week after discussing with the other officers and members.

Events Team Secondary Objectives

Have weekly Team Meetings.
I will require every two weeks a meeting with the team.

War Council
Main objectives

Finally the last division at the moment is the War council however the main core of members will also belong to this group. Between them they would have the task of -

Leading, directing and organising pvp clan battles.
protecting the clans assets.
Expanding the clans space.
Maintaining alliances and relations with other clans.
Appointing squad leaders and directing them during clan battles.

Secondary Objectives

Organising the clan into pvp formations and promoting members accordingly, eg specialist rank.
Gather intelligence on other clans and post useful pvp info and ideas of the forums.
I will require every two weeks a meeting with the division.

So why do I have to apply?

There are a lot of reasons but mainly by applying we get to know a bit about you. Also applications give a small indication to other people looking for a guilds and clans into what kind of members we have and if this guild will be right for them.

Hull Breach will be a European clan so it is best if you live inside the EU, however we will be accepting members worldwide as long as they play on the EU server.
You need to have Ventrilo and a working headset and be willing to use it.
Must have a basic understanding of English.
Have a good sense of humor and try to be relaxed, If you see /drama between members try to calm the situation down.
Be very active on the forums.
Be mature and don't type in 1337speak, Try to keep everything well typed and easy to understand.
Most of all, have fun!

Also forgot to Mention that this is by no means a casual clan. We will have a large number of casual players in the clan however the core will be made up of hardcore members. When the game launches I plan to have a few teams of levellers so we can establish ourselves as a military force and build up a large clan station while they wont be attackable.

The website and forum makeover has been finished graphic wise and its looking really nice. All that is left is to update all the important forum threads and updating this thread with the division system we will be using. Should be all finished within a few days and then new members will be able to understand exactly what this clan is about.

I have a question, I am a casual gamer and I want to join the clan because the Genides look cooler, also you seem look like your good at running clans, and I like the rules. I am new the space game genre but I would like to join a clan for fun, I want the member rank. But do I need ventrilo to join? I don't have a headset. Am I not allowed to join if I don't have one? because I really want to join.

Having a headset is not a condition right now if I am correct. In the later stage, it could be ... by later stage I mean something like open beta or the game release. Typing and forum is cool, but it's your headset that get you to know peoples more and have more fun, too.

I'm also going to look at setting up a counter strike source team while we wait for launch which will be playing in a few leagues once it gets going - Hull Breach Will not be recruiting for that team however if you are around high skill on IRC you are welcome to mix with us ^^

Actually I try to revitalize my nearly 4 year old german clan with BP. I have a long history with it ... reaching back several more years.

But there are a lot of nice guys here on the forum including you. And to which clan you belong shouldn't be a barrier to play together and have fun.

I think almost every online game that's been released over the past five years has had guilds/clans forming before release; it really makes things easier once the games out.

member's point of view: just easier to start with existing community. it's like starting a new job where you already have friends ^^ if anybody desides not to stay with the game and leaves the clan no one will be angry. plus it is a LOT of work creating a clan with homepage, forum, ventrilo/ts server, define rules, find members etc. do you think it is a good idea to start doing all that at release day?!
btw i could ask you "why register and post in a forum when the game is not even out??" too :P

Hell.. One of my friends is in the beta already and I'm still lurking around hoping that I'll be able to create my Genide character anytime soon.
I liked the organization of this clan. Hopefully I'll be able to join it if I get an invitation.
